We would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Tom Kell, who retired from Great Northern Corporation at the end of July, for his years of hard work and dedication. Under Tom’s leadership, the Chippewa Falls Consumer Packaging & Display location completed a successful 2005 and has begun an exciting 2006.

And congratulations to Rick Gates, who will replace Tom in this leadership position. Rick was promoted from Vice President of Manufacturing to Vice President, General Manager for Great Northern’s Chippewa Falls Consumer Packaging & Display location.

“John and Tom Kell built a strong team of leaders at our Chippewa Falls location,” said John Davis, President of the Packaging Group. “I know Rick will continue the proud traditions that make this facility unique, successful and a great place to work.

“During Rick’s distinguished career he has demonstrated the values of Great Northern – a competitive spirit, a passion to be the best for the customer, and a sincere caring for the employees,” continued Davis. “These traits will serve him well in his new role.”

In retirement, Tom Kell will remain active in his many civic and charitable responsibilities, supporting the Chippewa Falls community. Please extend your congratulations to these two outstanding individuals!
